Inter-spaces
Installation documentation - participants, two fish in tank, one snail in jar, four video cameras, two desk lamps, two carts, motion tracking software, custom sound generators

Inter-spaces is a interactive, generative sound sculpture installation. Two fish in a small tank are motion tracked, their horizontal position dictating the pitch of custom synth generators. A snail in a small jar is also motion tracked, its vertical position dictating the pitch of another synth generator. A fourth camera captures the view of the entire installation room, using viewer movements to trigger field recordings.

The fish and snail controlled sounds emitted from their specific tank's locations, the field samples played from speakers at the top corners of the room, creating an immersive sonic space.

Inter-spaces uses the Gestural Music Sequencer, written by John Keston.
